Huntress's Unite

Posted by

It's not all that often that we get the opportunity to come together and discuss our passion with another group of female hunters. Sure we have the HCG Like a Girl Facebook Community Page, a place where we can share our photos and stories but it just isn't the same as meeting face to face. That something extra that you get from sitting round a campfire chatting about your hunting adventures with a bunch of likeminded women.

To say that I am excited about the upcoming "Huntress's Unite" women's only event coming up in November is an understatement. I am looking forward to meeting some new people as well as catching up with some old and new friends. I will be showcasing Prois hunting and field apparel for women as well as my own casual brand HCG Like a Girl. Through my business i have been lucky enough to meet many fellow huntress's and from past experiences such as the Wild Women Calendar i have found that we all get along very well. It seems the hunting community is a varied one from all walks of life but with a common passion it doesn't seem to matter where you come from.

One of the best things about this opportunity will be to discuss my views on hunting with other female hunters. We all have our own ideas on exactly what is "ethical" and we all celebrate our personal successes differently. I am keen to hear what each of the women find draws them to hunt. I am also keen to show my support for my fellow huntress's. Sadly hunters are not always a well liked group and female hunters have been targeted and criticised in recent times. Personally I try to support all hunters and only give criticism in the most constructive way and only if i deem it very necessary. Instead i prefer to give praise where it is due and stick to the old saying 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all'.
